It’s important to recognise that all young people are vulnerable when it comes to sexual exploitation and abuse in the online and offline world. However some young people face increased vulnerability for many reasons, such as having special educational needs. As part of ensuring greater accessibility for CEOPs educational films, Think U Know are pleased to announce the release of adapted materials for young people with visual and hearing impairments. Via the ‘SEN’ tab in the Resources area of the Thinkuknow Teachers‘ site, you will now have access to a wide selection of CEOPs existing films specifically adapted with Audio Description and Subtitles.
Registered users of the Think U Know site will now be able to access fully audio described and subtitled versions of ‘Consequences’, ‘Exploited’, ‘Exposed’, ‘First2amillion’, ‘Jigsaw’ and ‘Toms Story’ to complement our existing SEN offer including ‘Lee and Kim’ with British Sign Language and subtitles, ‘Know your friends with Josh and Sue’ for moderate/severe learning difficulties, and ‘Sam’s Real Friends’ – CEOPs specialist hearing impaired resource created using actors from the deaf community.
